Why I'm closing our Facebook page

Earlier this week, I posted on The Sustainable Occasion's Facebook page that I'm closing it down at the end of this month (31/3/25). I will instead be focusing all of my content on my website, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Why? Well, there are a few reasons:

• Multiple platforms means more things in the cloud, which adds to my business' carbon footprint - going against everything I'm working to achieve in the realm of sustainability!

  
  

• I probably don't give Facebook the love it deserves, especially as most of my Facebook followers also follow and engage with me elsewhere. With low engagement, everything I'm doing on Facebook is a mere duplication. This one actually goes both ways, as a lot of the pages and groups I follow on Facebook under my business account, I also follow from my personal account or on their other social platforms.

  
  

• In a nod to my mental health, closing this page takes one less worry out of my already congested brain!
