Event Sustainability Consultation Packages

The Sustainable Occasion exists to help you take meaningful steps towards hosting more eco-ethical events. Our consultation packages offer three levels based on your needs and are suitable for all types of corporate and private events.

LEVEL 1

Tailored for those interested in integrating sustainability into their event and looking for initial guidance and direction.

You receive:

An initial meeting to discuss your event and sustainability goals (60-minute duration).
A personalised written summary report that identifies key recommendations for improving the event’s sustainability credentials in areas including but not limited to venue and supplier selection, transportation, menus, and waste management.
A calculation of your event’s projected carbon emissions to set a baseline for measuring results.
A hard copy of The Sustainable Occasion Event Guide book

From $150 per hour

LEVEL 2

Ideal for those looking for additional support throughout the event planning process and creating a deeper focus of environmental responsibility.

You receive:

An initial meeting to discuss your event and sustainability goals (60-minute duration).
A personalised written summary report that identifies key recommendations for improving the event’s sustainability credentials in areas including but not limited to venue and supplier selection, transportation, menus, and waste management.
A calculation of your event’s projected carbon emissions to set a baseline for measuring results.
Up to four (4) hours of ongoing support for additional reviews and recommendations leading up to the event.
Post-event review meeting to discuss outcomes (30-minute duration).
A hard copy of The Sustainable Occasion Event Guide book.

LEVEL 3

This package is for those looking for in-depth event sustainability support, event sustainability reports and/or obtaining a carbon-neutral or zero-waste event certification.

You receive:

An initial meeting to discuss your event and sustainability goals (60-minute duration).
A personalised written summary report that identifies key recommendations for improving the event’s sustainability credentials in areas including but not limited to venue and supplier selection, transportation, menus, and waste management.
A calculation of your event’s projected carbon emissions to set a baseline for measuring results.
Up to eight (8) hours of ongoing support for additional reviews and recommendations leading up to the event.
Up to eight (8) hours of post-event support for event sustainability reporting, carbon calculations and offset recommendations. (N.B additional hours may be required if Event Certification is being obtained, pending the event type, standards and criteria).
Post-event review and debrief meeting to discuss outcomes (60-minute duration).

What is Carbon-Neutral Event Certification?
To obtain Event Certification and claim your event to be carbon-neutral, events must meet specific criteria related to environmental, social, and economic sustainability as outlined by the relevant Certification Standards. The Sustainable Occasion follows the Australian Government’s Climate Active carbon-neutral event standards and certification process.

Team Workshops

If you need to educate your team members or event stakeholders on the importance of sustainability in event planning, The Sustainable Occasion offers workshops (in-person or online) focused on sustainable event practices.

These sessions can cover topics such as sustainable sourcing, waste reduction strategies, energy conservation, and community engagement. Get in touch to discuss your requirements.
